SNI Global recently had the opportunity to play a key role in the U.S. Soy campaign hosted by the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) in Seoul, South Korea, from June 11-13. Charlotte Martin, MS, RDN, represented SNI Global at this unique venue.
The three-day event brought together U.S. soybean industry leaders (including representatives from the Ohio Soybean Council and Indiana Soybean Alliance), local food manufacturers, beauty influencers, and media to spotlight soy’s role in sustainability, nutrition, and skin health.
Martin provided on-site social media coverage throughout the conference and gave multiple presentations emphasizing the connection between soy consumption and skin health. Her talks, including one to beauty influencers and another at the high-profile Soy Food Masters Night, explored the scientific evidence supporting soy’s benefits for skin hydration, elasticity, and collagen support.
Soy contains compounds like isoflavones and vitamin E, which research suggests may help improve skin hydration, elasticity, and even reduce the appearance of fine lines. Martin emphasized how incorporating soy foods such as tofu, soymilk, and edamame into the diet can be a simple yet effective part of daily skin care from the inside out.
In addition to her formal presentations, Martin participated in a talk show-style panel discussion during the Soy Food Masters Night and a Q&A session following the Soy Recipe Contest. She also conducted interviews with multiple media outlets, including a feature for Allure Korea, where she explained how isoflavones and vitamin E in soy contribute to healthy, resilient skin.
Other media coverage included:
- Junior JoongAng Weekly, where Martin spoke with youth reporters about soy’s role in child nutrition, sustainable eating habits, and simple soy-based snacks.
- Sojoong and Foodicon, which covered the event’s broader sustainability and consumer engagement themes.
- AFL News, which provided an overview of the U.S. Soy Campaign House and highlighted Martin’s insights during the event.
Social media coverage highlighted the impact of the event on those who attended. Posts from @popga_official, @dbsk82 and @sweet_emily9 on Instagram collectively reached tens of thousands of users and sparked conversations about soy’s role in beauty and wellness.
Martin’s presence helped bridge science and storytelling for a diverse Korean audience, demonstrating how sustainable U.S. soy can support not only a healthier planet but also glowing skin from the inside out.
